Senior School

St Joseph’s Catholic College Senior School aims to develop students into self-reliant, independent, well-educated and caring young adults.  The style of learning carefully nurtures a more independent approach than in the Middle School, enabling students to take increasing responsibility for their own education.

The Senior School provides both an academic and vocational education.  In Year 10, all students complete a Personal Learning Plan as prescribed by the NT Department of Education and Training.  This helps students to focus on where they would like to be in the future and to then help them to work with the school to create a personal pathway.

In the Senior School we work closely with a variety of organisations to provide a broad range of subjects and pathways. These include Charles Darwin University and the Northern Territory Open Education Centre. University pathways are provided through our NTCET subjects and VETiS certificate courses. Pathways to post-secondary employment are offered via our school based apprenticeship program, work placement in local businesses as well as our VETiS subjects.

St Joseph’s Senior School is the place for young adults to thrive as they pursue their paths towards their chosen careers.
